Lawmakers Pass Bill To Stifle Inmates’ Public Speech

Lawmakers Pass Bill To Stifle Inmates’ Public Speech – http://huff.to/1rGWjtf

Some wrongful convictions have been overturned in part due to resources coming in as a result of notoriety.

The endemic corruption in the US police and prosecution services, particularly in the southeast, has resulted in many wrongful convictions.  There are cases that should not have passed charge approval where the jury is tainted or prejudiced and a case that should fall to a no-evidence motion results in a conviction.

The idea that once convicted, even if wrongfully convicted in an unfair trial, that the accused should then be required to be silent, is appalling.  Clear first amendment breach.
